Robert LaFontaine's 1989 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am - rare, unique and FAST!
This rare example of a 1989 Turbo TA belongs to Robert LaFontaine. His car is #799 of 1547 built. These cars were built by Pontiac for teh 1989 Indy Pace car, but have the famous LC2 Buick turbocharged powerplant . Slight differences exist between this motor and their Buick cousins, most notably, the Pontiac uses the FWD heads, due to space constraints between the shock towers. Robert's TTA has rocketted to a 12.274 @ 106.51 with a 1.643 60ft. time.
