Featured Car - Chad Schwartz's 1987 Grand National and 1986 WH1 T-Type
A pair beats .... well.... just about everything!
Chad always dreamed of owning a Grand National ever since they were new but was to young to afford one. He set out to finally own one after being beaten badly in a street race against a GN with nitrous. The Grand National was purchased bone stock in '96 with only 21K miles as his daily driver. After a few months it was retired to nice weather and weekend racing. It's been driven everywhere. One summer it was taken on a 9 day 4,000 mile drive through 5 states and has been driven to the '00 Buick Nationals in Bowling Green. The clock currently reads 59K miles.

A hard lesson was learned within the first year of ownership by not having a scantool or the wealth of info on the Internet. He's now a member of the DOTCTC (Driving Over The Crank and Transmission Club) and was lucky enough to track down one of the last GM crate engines.

Chad's other find is a very clean and rare 55K mile '86 WH1 T-Type "Designer's Series" car . It was purchased from his buddy Richard Ameen Sept. '00 after he decided to go back to college for computers. Both Chad and Richard worked together during nights and weekends to transform this car into a fast stock appearing car for as little investment as possible. It was running high 13's when it all started. After just adding a Modern Musclecar 100 octane race chip and some tuning with TurboLink his car dropped into the 12.60 zone. Few small mods later the car was running low 12's. Doing some more tuning with the new addition TA-49 turbo it will surely hit the 11's.
