Mick Blankenship (Buickgn38sfi) | Monday, August 18, 2003 - 10:19 am So,...what really is the diff between the two kinds of wheels? My buddy had a set of 16" TA wheels on his GN and I couldnt tell the diffference? With the exception of the center caps |
Phil Aubrey (Paubrey) | Monday, August 18, 2003 - 06:52 pm Only the offset on the front. The TA wheel is incorrect by 3/4 of an inch. Most TA wheels will rub on hard turns and some cars have to relocate the brake hose bracket welded to the frame. |
Michael Ellis (Stickybones) | Tuesday, August 19, 2003 - 03:45 am Technically, the GNX wheels have a different offset on the front and rears. Something like 25mm offset on the rears and 16mm offset on the fronts for the GNX wheels (don't quote me on the numbers). The TA wheels of this style are 0 offset. In other words, the GNX wheels have less backspacing and therefore fit better on the Regals. |
Phil Aubrey (Paubrey) | Tuesday, August 19, 2003 - 06:43 pm Mike I didn't measure the rears but did compare one of my fronts to a TA wheel. That's where I got the 3/4 inch |
