I have a set of the 16x8 GTA/GNX type rims, I'm going to put them on my 86 T-type. I talked to a guy at a local cruis friday that has these rims on his 86 T-type. he said he had to use spacers on the rear on the zero offset rims. he had 255/50r16 tires on there, I'm running 245/50r16 Nitto drag radials on the back. any one here of having to run spacers on the back?? I'm getting ready to mount them up, and need to know.
Provided these are all 'front' wheels, you should not need spacers with these wheels and 245/50 tires.
Does anyone know where I can find someone who stocks and sales a set of stock GNX rims??
The deal with the GTA wheels is that you run the fronts on the rear with no spacers. Take the rears and run them on the front with the spacers to clear tierod ends. (unless you have a set of four fronts) Avoid spacers on the rear with as much torque as these cars make. Since the OEM GNX wheels were made by BBS, you could try and track a set down and be prepared to write a healthy check, or get a set of GTA wheels from classic industries. You can even order a set of four fronts!
