What is the backspacing for the front and rear authentic GNX wheels? Is it 4" all around??? I know of the different offsets front and rear (I am aware of the tire charts and info on this site, however, they do not mention the BACKSPACING for the authentic GNX wheels).

These wheels are 16" x 8" all around, correct?

On the authentic GNX wheels, I am very sure that the backspacing is 4" but it could also be 3.5" or 4.5" not sure thought. And yes these wheels are 16"x8" all around.

I think the offsets are 17mm in front and 24mm in back.

That would correlate to about 3.8" bs in front and 3.3" in back by my estimation. GNX's have fenderflares so this offset may stick the tire out a bit in back on a regular T-R.

GTA wheel have a bs of about 4.25" in front and 5.0" in the back, on the same 16x8 (or 8.5" depending who is measuring it)

Thanks for the info...I assumed the b.s. would be 4" or less since the fender flares lend themselves to wheels that protrude further outboard. I was using the measurements as a baseline for wheels when adding fender flares.

Because of the different locations offset and backspacing is measured from there can sometimes be confusion in the measurements. Since backspacing is usually measured from the bolt flange to the back of the wheel and wheel width is measured from inside the bead flanges, the thickness of the flange matters in backspacing, but doesn't factor into offset.

A steel wheel with a zero offset will usually have less backspacing than a same size cast aluminum wheel with zero offset, because the Aluminum wheel's bead flanges are thicker.

8.0" wide GTA wheels that have zero offset actually have 4.25-4.35" of backspacing because of the wheel bead flange thickness and not 4" as one would normally assume.
