The three that you have are the ones to have. Knock is good also.

I think www.summitracing.com has good prices on their gauges.

Scanmaster/turbolink are good to have.

I am new to buying gauges and I was wondring what the difference is between mechanical and electric? Other that the obvious. Is one better than the other? Should certain gauges be electric and some be mechanical? Not to much difference in price. Just wondering what the positive and negatives are before buying. Thanks in advance.

Solve all your problems and get a GNX style dash.

OK where can you find a GNX dash now. I saw a thread from a year ago and both the places that were listed no longer exsist. I have not seen one of these and I am to say the least interested.

You could always try to make your own version of a GNX setup. Probably would be cheaper than the $700 you spend for one of those.

Has anyone installed an entire Monte SS dash? It seems like a nice way to get a setup with 2" round gauges. Then when combined with your double piller pod gauges and your 2 console gauges, you should have everything you could possibly want.

I'm not sure if the GNX style dashes are still being made, someone else may chime in who does know.

As far as the Monts SS dash, well I guess you could install the ENTIRE thing and it would work, but the just the gauge cluster won't work without some serious modification. Changing the entire thing *should* work, as far as fitment goes, I think all the G-bodies use the same dash mounts. And I would hazard a guess that the heater/ac unit stuff would work too. But the wiring stuff....I don't know about that. I'm sure it could be done, just would take some work. I would think it would be easier to build your own GNX setup. And not to mention, keep your TR a TR, not a Monte or hybrid. Just my two pennies.

Try http://www.hbscomputers.com/gnxparts1.htm . I bought everything but the gauges and will buy the gauges of my choice, so it will look like the real thing. Joe is very helpful.

It was there when I posted, maybe he doesn't have any more. I'd e-mail him and ask. I talked to him at the nationals so he is still into TR's.

Mike, I installed several of these units (GNX replica cluster's) and have one in my personal car (w/ VDO Gauges) for over 9 years. Besides them looking great, I went without a problem with the cluster for the nine years (until just recently the oil psi gauge has been acting up [sending unit])! Any how the last one that I purchased was sent to me from: Performance Instruments, 440 E. Scott #118, Port Hueneme, CA 93041 (sorry no e-mail). I originally ordered it through Eastern Performance. They gave the option of mechanical or electrical gauges, same price. The unit looks just as good as the original replicas made by CVX. Good luck.
