What exactly is this sensor for? What wire or color of wire should be connected to it?

There are three sensors. Pass side horz (temp gauge) single green wire. Drivers side horz (ECM temp) two wire yellow and black. Drivers side vert (fan temp) single wire green with yellow stripe.

Passenger side temp gauge is for what? I see the gauge I just need to find the wire that attaches to it. For some reason it's not connected.

It's for the dash temp light. Dark green single wire. Comes out of engine harness laying over front of drivers valve cover.
