i do not currently have a scan tool I just replaced the computer and crank position sensor, My 86 gn just started to just shut off at idle or even at slight throttle while driving, i have fuel pressuer after it stalls, but the weird thing is i get NO check engine witch ruled out my 1st 2 guesses witch were t.p.s or ignition mod. anyone out there wave this prob before. evertime i borrow a scan tool "ofcourse it runs great...lol you know how that goes" thnx for your time
I'm not sure about this, but I would check my connections, starting with the crank position sensor, it just sounds like an ignition problem, so only worry about those connected to spark-related stuff, ie crank sensor, coil pack, module, maybe even the orange computer wire...ya' never know, and that always happens, as soon as you get the right tools...the problem goes away
But seriously, I don't even know if TL could help if the car is just shutting off, due to a short or bad connection.
