I just got an 87 GN and still learning the car. The car has a really bad idle on a cold start or when its been sitting for more than 4 hours. Most of the time the engine will shutter then will shut off, unless you keep the giving it gas. After that the car runs fine. I was going to replace or adjust the TPS when I saw it had a Casper TPS-TEC. What does this do and how does it work? Anyone have any experience with this? I still need to get a code reader, but just looking for a little help with this.

TPS/TEC at about 60% throttle tells the computer that the throttle is wide open. Your TPS should be set at .42, at WOT it should be up in the high 4.0's. So in essence at half throttle the car thinks it is balls-out and supplies all the voltage that C3I needs. Go to Kirbans' web site and look it up. I got one for my 87' and there was a small, but noticeable difference in acceleration. the point is to get the highest mv at full throttle. I think it is 4.85 or so on mine.
Take it off & see if it helps!!
