The coolent fan comes on when engine is hot or cold, key out of ignition. For instances if i set in the car with engine off cold and adjust the electric seat.. bam the fan comes on . What the heck is going on? I dont even know where to start looking.
thanks in advance

might be the high speed fan delay relay.

They are not sealed and if they get wet, they will give you fits...

Thanks shawn. I talked with a guy at BGC today and he suspected that it could be that the electric seat is drawing such a load that it might be letting a relay open? any ideas on that?

In troubleshooting my h.s. fan problems - i just unplugged the suspect relay, and plugged it into the adjacent relay to isolate it. Im thinking you could try the same thing? A 12V relay is a 12V relay. Just pull the harness out of the other relay (closest to the headlight is the one i used) and swap them.

true.

Try unplugging the relay and see if you have the same problems. You won't cause any damage as long as the car stays cool.

John Spina even did a write up about doing away with the relay entirely...
