I just installed a VDO tach ('86 TR) and can't get it to work. I followed the discussion a while back about how VDO no longer converts these for you, so I bought the Casper's "VDO Tach Signal Converter Module." But the tach doesn't function. So I'm wondering where I'm supposed to connect the tach signal wire? I used the factory green connector located behind the alternator. Is this correct, or should I be tapping in somewhere else?
Casper's has offered to test the tach and module if I send them in, but I thought I'd ask the group for advice first.
