    kenneth james hanks (Kenhnks) | Thursday, February 20, 2003 - 04:30 am  i have a 87 regal typeT my problem is one night after work i went to start my car to let it warm up since live in ohio well i got in and the first thing i did was turn on headlights and about 5secs later i lost dash lights light in center console for shifter and all parking lights but the headlights stayed on so i turned them off changed fuse and it happend again so i changed fuse again didnt blow fuse again but still only lights that work are dome light when door is open and when i turn the dimmer switch on and the headlights i changed all taillights bulbs even reverse and plate light and running lights in front since there wired in paralelle changed headlight switch did nothing checked all fuses all good and disconnected the tripod gauges i had for temp oil and volts i had wired in to the light for shifter |
    kenneth james hanks (Kenhnks) | Thursday, February 20, 2003 - 04:41 am  oh sorry about that i am new i just bought my car about a month ago for 900 dollars dont urself cause the infamous 3.8 is gone i am looking for another one to put it back in odometer reads 106,000 It now has a 350 .40 over flat top pistons gapless rings cast crank rvcam eddiebrock torker intake holley 600 carb with vaccume secondaries turbo 350 tranny with stage 2 shift kit with the original 3.42 gears posi. it is quick dont get me wrong but for 900 dollars i had to cause i have always wanted one and someday will put the 3.8 back in. There is no rust but like i said needs paint its all black with t badges no chrome all black like a gn i will look up the codes i have read and will post again to tell whoever is interested and is there anyone in ohio from this site near or on the ohio river i live 20 mins from wheeling w.v and 45mins from pittsburgh pa |

I think they have everything you need to make this conversion. (Advanced Technology Research) You could REALLY go fast with that car. |
    Brian Lee (Brianwagonlee) | Thursday, February 20, 2003 - 07:58 am  Well, you have a console shifter, so I would guess that you blew the fuse because the shifter light came off and is grounding out and blowing the fuse. OR, the wire broke off the back of the lighter, and that is grounding out. As for the tranny cable breaking, with the T350 in there, maybe you need a different cable, or it isn't adjusted right. At the cruise in Mich. last year my pressure sensor went out on the master cylinder blowing brake fluid on my car (with 16,000 mi.). I replaced it then found out about the recall! Now my Brake booster motor will not come on. Any electrical schematics or trouble shooting out there. |
