i have a 87 with a 145 mph speedo, tach and boost.
The boost gauge doe's not work, where should i start looking for problem.....

Sounds like you have the analog dash. The boost gauge is driven by a MAP sensor on the passenger's side fender. It is a rectangular flat device, with a three wire connector and a vacuum/pressure port. The connector should be plugged in, and a hose hooked up to the port. Insure that the hose is connected, and it routes to the plenum via other hoses and lines with no leaks.
Hey Scott! I have the same problem with MY `87 GN. It has an 85mph analog speedo with the digital (little light bars) tach and boost gauges. The vacuum hoses are a little messed up on my car as I recently got it from someone that didn't care much for such details. Is the hose that connects from this MAP sensor to the plenum supposed to be sort of a plasticky thing with larger rubber connector "boots" on either end?? If so, then it's no wonder my boost gauge doesn't work since it's not connected and all dried up/cracked apart. Will standard vacuum hose suffice here?
I would seriously consider buying a VDO calibrated boost/vacuum gauge. The digital gauge really isn't all that accurate.
