I just installed a boost guage. Right away I noticed that the readings on the guage were much different than those on the factory "best guess" boost indicator. When the boost guage showed 5 psi the dash showed 1 psi. What is strange is when I am WOT the dash guage is into the red lights while my new boost guage shows 11 psi.
My question is this. I have shortened the waste gate rod to where there is only about a 1/4" of adjustment left and the boost guage is showing only 11 or 12 psi. It seems I will run out of adjustment before I reach my goal of 17psi.
Could there be problem with the turbo? The guage? or perhaps the waste gate acutator is shot?
