The last two days when I go out to my '86 GN after work, the battery has been dead. When I get a coworker to jump me, the cooling fan starts as soon as the cables are connected. Thus I assume that the fan is not cuting off at work. It cuts off fine at home. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also if anyone knows which fuse controls this fan, pulling the fuse at work might be a temporary fix until I can look at it this weekend.
Your fan delay relay is the culprit. It's the largest relay on the drivers side inner fender well. There are two plugs on the relay. To disable it, just unplug both plugs. The car will run normally without the relay.
