My 1984 Regal speedometer doesnt work. What wires should I check to make sure nothing became disconnected? I have a couple of wires in behind the radio & A/C that Im not sure about. One is yellow, the other is pink. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

My analog speedo on my '87GN has stopped working. I have only had the car 5 months and it has only about 7,000 miles on it. Due to my job I have only been able to drive the car twice with 5 months in-between drives, so the car sits for long periods of time, and with only 7,000 miles on it in 17 yrs it has sat still alot for most of its life. I can hear the speedo cable try to turn by the pop-pop-pop noise.

Is my speedo cable broken? or does it simply just need lubrications?

Thanks!

Steve
