can someone recommend a good source for a new ignition module? i talked to a dealer who can get me stuff at cost and he said his prices won't be able to match the ones online. gmpartsdirect has them for $120 before shipping, but their credit card service wouldn't take my street address for some reason, which sketched me out. kirban's price was much higher.
other places i should try? i would prefer an original part, not refurbed.

Why do you need a new one? Try a used one!
well it doesn't HAVE to be a new one, but from what i know they seem to go bad fairly often, so i'd rather not makes things more prone to failure by introducing a used one.

If you haveto,Auto-zone is the cheapest! If used will do, acdelco.com will give you a list of Cars to pick from !
About the credit card, just make sure the billing address, ie where the credit card bill goes, matches the shipping address, unless they have it so you can fill in a "ship to address other than billing."
If you're going to be buying used parts it would probably be a good investment to get Casper's ignition module tester. The money you spend on it will be well worth it, especially if it keeps you from having to troubleshoot a problem. Or you might be able to find someone in your area that already has one that you can use to check out the parts you get. Just because it comes from Autozone and has a warranty doesn't mean it'll be good. And there's nothing more irritating than putting on good parts, or so you think, and the problem is still there.....cuz then you start doing other things to try and fix the problem. Trust me.
