Perhaps someone can save me some time by sharing their experience.

I have read the diagnostic suggestions.

Does anyone have a shortcut if I tell you that this only happens at idle, with engine warm, and air conditioning on? If one revs the engine in neutral for 15 seconds the light goes out or if I pull away from the traffic signal the light goes out in about 5 seconds.

You are running rich at idle. Need scanner readings to help you out. Also check for vacuum leaks.

Phil,

Thanks for your response.

I have an OTC scanner but have not used it hardly at all.

Can you tell me which scanner readings are necessary?
