OK, I did some more testing and the TPS is fine. It sweeps normaly as it should like Rob said.

I decided to do some probing on the MAF and with my Harness Diagram handy this is what I found:
Keyon/engine on
Pink/Blk-->13.6v
Grey/Red (to ECU)--> 2.6volts at idle When revved it doesn't really change it may drop to 2.52 or so but then goes to 2.6v again
Blk/Wht--->Ground

Then Key On/Engine off (Harnes unplugged from MAF)
Pink/Blk--->12.3v
Grey/red--->5v
Blk/Wht---->Ground

SO what is going on? Is the Grey/red wire the signal return from the ECU? If it is then why do I see 5v coming through it when the key is off? Or why is there 2.6v when it's running and it doesn't fluctaute with airflow?

I tried two MAFs and they both did the same thing.

This is driving me crazy. Can anyone explain this????

The MAF is not voltage based ... it outputs a frequency.

OK, so how do I read that? Is it in Hertz?

Yep... since it's a frequency. The frequency changes based on the mass of air flowing past the hot wire in the sensor.

Since you tried two different MAFs, I'd bet they are working fine unless you have a wiring problem (look closely at the back of the head where the grounds attach ... the MAF grounds there with a wire). You can ground the MAF with a jumper wire to the battery or block as a test. If the car "perks up", start the arduous task of tracing the wire from the MAF through the harness to the back of the motor. No change, and you can continue trouble shooting...

Can you just leave the jumper wire? will; that hurt anything?
