What is the sensor located on the intake manifold, just up and to the right of the thermostat housing. It is on top of the "coolant jacket" pointing upward. that little sensor broke, and I need to know if I can drive the vehicle (almost no choice) until I can get another. Thanks!
It sounds like you are describing the temp sensor that controls the fan. You can ground the wire and the fan will run on high all the time and run for about 10 mins after you turn the car off.
