While removing my stock injectors in my 87 GN, I broke the larger diameter connector for the rubber hose on the egr control module. The larger rubber hose runs from the top of the egr valve to this "hookup" location on the control module. How important is this connection and any ideas on how to fix it(I thought about drilling and glue a plastic fitting in it). Otherwise, I can buy a new module if necessary (expensive I imagine). Or does anyone have a spare to sell? TIA, Tim Roark

IT DON'T TAKE MUCH FOR THAT TO HAPPEN. IF I'AM
WORKING IN THAT AREA I JUST REMOVE IT. TAKES A LITTLE TIME BUT CHEAPER THAN BUYING A NEW ONE.
ABOUT 5YRS AGO I PAID 50-55 FOR ONE
GOOD LUCK

Been there, done that. I tried to PC7 or JB Weld it back into place with little luck. Might be the kind of plastic. Ended up just replacing the whole unit.

The drill idea might work better. If you get it to work, please share your experience.

Thanks for the replies. I priced the egr module at $70. I had read the archives and some people don't run the egr valve, so I might see how the car runs without that connection to the module. I will drill it to glue in a fitting to see if that works next, or maybe find one in a junkyard. Of course right after I broke it I realized it should have been removed (that sinking feeling when the tool slips). Might be a good thing to add to the replacing injectors page that I was following. I will let you know if I come up with a good repair procedure. Tim Roark (troar@tigerpaw.com)
