I agree with Ken and Brian..It sounds like fuel to me. Have you checked your fuel pressure yet? If not pressure, then volume. You fuel sock may be collapsed as well, but if the hoses are good, and you're sure of it. The only thing else i've experienced is the pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body. Pull it off, and check for oil.

I was shooting a ton of oil through my intercooler because my turbo was leaking, and my car would sputter as well. The throttle body will be black looking where the hose clamps onto it if there is oil, and you will have oil in the tube as well.

If you're having trouble only running 12 lbs boost - something is wrong. Make sure your Boost Solenoid vacuum lines are routed correctly and not ripped as well. There is a "Y" in the vacuum line going to the turbo and wastegate coming from the Boost Solenoid. The straight-through line goes to the Turbo. Make sure these are not reversed. The offset line-part of the "Y" adapter goes to the wastegate actuator.

Nope, dumped all the spaces.

OK, if you look at the "Y" fitting, it is straight with a leg coming off it. The leg leads to the wastegate actuator. The straight going the opposite direction of the leg goes to the wastegate solenoid. The straight going the similar direction of the leg goes to the turbo.
