I'm pretty sure I can build my own known guage / meter with a simple frequency to voltage converter circuit. I understand that the ESC outputs a 8-10 volt signal when all is fine and that the signal drops to 0 volts when knock occurs. The duration and/or frequency of the low signal increases with knock. What I don't know is what what frequecy is relatively excessive knock and what is not. Can anyone tell me these frequencies?
There used to be a circuit on the GN/TTYPE website for a DYI knock detector. I build and sell a variation of these myself.
