just set up my account. having a difficult time trying to figure out why my engine will not rev over 4000 rpms. boost comes on strong and engine has good power, but will not go past 4000 rpms, even when pedals to the medal, replaced crank sensor, ccci module and coil pack,replaced ecm and tried a different prom chip, checked tps for correct voltage at wot-it was within specs. cleaned throttle body, as well as k&n air filter, I have a vigilante torque converter that stalls at 3000 rpms and no cat, just a straight pipe in its place. I spoke with someone who has some experience working on turbo regals-was told it could be the torque converter and to put the stock D5 converter back in and see if the problem goes away. no check engine light, but decided to scan ecm anyways and got a code 42 (est cicuit). fuel pump and filter are new. thats about all the information. I hope I didnt leave anything out. This problem started about two weeks ago. If anybody has any input to my situation it would be Very Greatly Appreciated. Thanks Danv.
You checked the tension on your valve springs....?? they get tired and will not rev anymore....
