Im having a problem with the car not starting this is probably a stupid question, but I don't like any of the auto shops around here. It is like the neutral safety switch, when I turn the ignition, the lights change but no starter (yes no solenoid click) My question is, before I rip my steering column apart has anyone had this problem? tnx for your input Eric Smith 86 gn
If it is the neutral safety switch, then you should be able to try turning the collar on the column with the key turned to start. If it is the neutral switch, then this should tell you. I just helped someone who had the same symptoms, and it turned out to be the kill switch for a no longer there alarm. The relay had lost its ground.
