i have an 85 with and 87 motor and trans installed intercooler etc..... i have been having problems with blowing fuel pump/inj fuses and in diagnosing this problem i have found spliced wires jumpers on two relays and an extra wire going to the back of the altenator....i have also found that the fuel relay circut from the ecm isn't working too so i am getting a new computer with the bad wiring that i have found i want to change over to an 87 engine harness and i was wondering if i have to fabricate anything for this swap or if it's just an unplug and replug and go thanks you in advance
did u use 85 harness on a 87 motor did u change the computor with the right one for that motor?
u cant use 85 harness and computer on a 87 motor different pins and wire place ment for comp. if u have a 87 motor u can find a 87 harness and computor for that motor easy swap only thing is 87 computer connectors go through the firewall under your ac/heater box so will need to drill a hole for it i know cause i just finished putting a 87 gn motor in my 84 t type good luck hope i helped
