I have an '86 GN. I rebuilt the engine and placed it back it. WHen i started it up i noticed my the first light of the tach lights up but nothing else does when you pump the peddle. The first light stays lit. I havent taken the dash out because if the light lights then its connected right, I looked through the archives to see where it hooks up. Did i do something to the ecm harness or something. any help is extremely appreciated.

There are two wires behind the alternator or ac compressor. One has a green connector, and the other is a grey wire with a black connector or the other way around. These two should not be plugged in. One is for the fuel pump the other is for the tach.

i found a 2 connector wire coming off the right side of the ac compressor that went in to the wiring harness. Im going to check the wiring diagrams on the site. The wires looked good.
