| | Tuesday, December 04, 2001 - 12:15 pm I'M TRYING TO FIND A WAY OF MOUNTING AN AUTOMETER FUEL GAUGE ON MY HOOD WITH DRILLING HOLES IN THE HOOD. I HAVE CONTACTED AUTOMETER, AND THEY HAD TOLD ME THAT THEY PRESENTLY HAVEN'T CREATED A MONTING KIT TO SPARE YOU FROM MAKING HOLES IN THE HOOD. IF ANYONE READS THIS AND HAS A FUEL PSI GAUGE MOUNTED ON THE HOOD, PLEASE CONTACT ME. MY E:MAIL ADDRESS IS JDORCA@OPTONLINE.NET, OR CONTACT ME THROUGH THIS MESSAGE. THANKS

| | Tuesday, December 04, 2001 - 12:59 pm I did this on my GN years ago. I took an old shelf bracket, and made a mount the screwed onto the underside of the hood. It was pretty snazzy, if I do say so myself. Now, there are vendors that supply these. Theirs are better, they made theirs out of stainless. Jack Cotton (cottonsperformance.com) is one of the vendors that I know has them. It looks almost like mine, except shiny, not rusty. Brian

| | Wednesday, December 05, 2001 - 12:10 pm BRIAN THANKS FOR THE INFO, IT SUPRISED ME WHEN I CALLED AUTOMETER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY NEVER PRODUCED ONE. I THINK I'LL TRY YOU'RE ADVISE YOU'VE GIVEN ME SOME IDEAS AND INSPIRATION. I'D RATHER DRILL INTO THE BOTTOM LIP OF THE HOOD, THAN "PLAY" WITH THE THE TOP OF A PERFECTLY GOOD HOOD. JAY

| | Wednesday, December 05, 2001 - 01:28 pm You're welcome. I had the same reason for drilling into the bottom of mine. I see alot of hoods with the holes in them for gauges, and some have been done real nicely, but I just couldn't do it. Also, check to see where the hood light is. I am wondering if you can use those bolt holes instead of drilling new ones. Brian

| | Monday, January 21, 2002 - 04:03 pm I have an old Kenne Bell Hood Mount fuel pressure gauge that developed a leak due to the 180 fitting corroding at the hose connection. So I replaced the hose and I cannot find a 180 AN fitting that goes from the braided hose to the gauge. Anyone familiar with a good place to purchase the 180 AN fitting? Thanks
