I cant seem to find the instructions for diagnosing the coil pack to see if it OHms out correctly in the tech articles.
Without using caspers tool, can someone give me the step by step, and also what numbers I should be looking for, as well as how the meter should be set up?

TIA

In case no one helped by now, here ya go. You need to check the resistance between the front & rear terminals on the coilpack. Normally, they should read between 11-13k ohms. Temperature will sometimes affect the readings, but this test is normally good 75% of the time.
When I say front to rear, I mean if you're standing & leaning on the drivers-side fender to test, check the left & right terminals on the coilpack. HTH:)

Coil pack on 86 gn wiring (Help please).
Anyone know what the 3 black wires that are coming from under the rear of the coil pack that are connected to 3 short black cylinder things(sorry for the terminology) which then lead 3 brown wires spliced into one that go absolutley no where in my car (just hanging that cant be right!) wondering if this could be the cause of my battery draining completly dead in less than 2 days hmmm. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you very much. scott g

Scott:

That doesn't sound familiar. Under the coil pack (mounted to it) is the CCCI with blue, yellow, and green wires attaching to the coil. I don't get it.
