Can the IAC be cleaned? Or, should it be replaced? The car will stall after letting up on the throttle during light to moderate acceleration as when you are driving around a neighborhood. I think the IAC is acting up. It is probably original. Thank you.

Yes, it can be cleaned. Just be really careful with the pintle not to push it in or "tweak" it, since that can damage the little motor.
Clean the area in the throttle body where it seats and spray liberally with an O2 sensor safe carb cleaner or brake parts cleaner.
Then do the IAC reset procedures on the web site (be sure to reset your TPS as well).
I have an '87 GN. My car is averaging about 10 miles to the gallon and has slightly rough idle. I purchased turbo-link with the hope that it would help me diagnose my rough idle and poor miles per gallon. No dice. Not one error code. So, I decided to reset the IAC because the counts were kind of high(40-50 range). Now my car will not start. It just turns over. The reset was performed as described on the Website. Help!

You got fuel pressure? Spark? Vacuum lines missing/misplaced/ripped? Any fuses blown?
When i cleaned my IAC, i forgot to plug in the cam sensor too - i took off all the wires, and cleaned all sensor contacts - it's kinda tight in there..make sure everything's where it should be and making good contact.
The fuel pressure is good.
The fuses are good.
I can't find any missing/misplaced/ripped vacum lines.
How do I check the spark?
One night, I grabbed a spark plug wire to put it back on its spark plug. The wire was dangling right next to the plug and you could see it arcing. After I picked myself up off the ground about six feet from the car and found ice to put on the knot on the back of my head which I banged on the hood; I learned NOT to stand in water next to the curb while it's raining and grab wires anywhere under the hood.
