I've been trying to run turbolink v1.30 on an HP 200LX palmtop computer. I have the PCMCIA parallel port, 12V adapter, and copied the config.sys command from the web page. It appears that Turbolink recognizes the port because it starts up without the parallel port not found error message. The connection to the parallel port appears to be lost after trying to start the real time display. Anyone have any ideas?

I've seen that when the little pins on the parallel port PCMCIA card were bent. Drove us crazy!
Check the pins carefully. Are you using a Qualcomm card for the PCMCIA parallel port?
What do you get when you start the program with turbolnk /b?

When starting Turbolink with the /b option I get the following:

Is this a debugging mode?
Maybe I should dump the 200LX and get Turbolink 3.0 for my real laptop! Just thought it would be cool to mount the 200LX on my center console and have it there all the time.

Yep, it's debugging mode. It's telling you the framesize is 25 (correct), the IC should be counting up (telling us we have interrupts), L is telling us the software is requesting the power pins to "come up" and no AlDL mode, and the I and D are the two pins for Interrupt and Data and should be flickering madly between 0 and 1.
Is any of this consistent?
None of those fields were changing at all so I dug deeper into my config.sys and autoexec.bat files. Removed the PCMCIA card manager (CIC100.exe) and the application manager (200.exe?) from the autoexec.bat file and Turbolink runs fine now.
