i just installed a autometer boost/vacume guage and the guage reads 6 psi off of the vacume line and if i tap in to line off of the compressor side of turbo it reads 8-9 psi i know the drop in pressure is from the intercooler but the stock dash guage reads 14 so i dont want to over boost the car????
also I was told that 14 psi is the stock boost level is this correct?
I'm not really sure about this, but I've heard that the factory boost gauge isn't accurate, although mine seems fairly close. I'd check it with a scantool, ie TurboLink. I've got my boost gauge hooked into one of the lines coming off of the vacuum block on top of the throttle body.
