I've got a TA-51 turbo with new wastegate and 3" downpipe. I've got the rod as short as it will go and am only getting about 21-22 lbs of boost. How can I get more?
You need what's called a heavy duty wastegate call

What is the difference between the heavy duty wastegate and the regular? Are you refering to wastegate actuator, or the wastegate in the downpipe?

Heavy duty allows more boost. You are talking about the wastegate actuator because you mentioned
arm. PTE= Precision Turbo & Engine, look in vendors index.
Actually, the PTE heavy duty wastegate actuator changes the base boost level from ~12psi with the stocker to about 18 psi. It's supposed to help avoid flutter and to help with high boost launches (doesn't open until 18 psi) and help spool up.
I don't think it'll help with max boost level. Sounds like maybe the rod needs to have a 1/4" cut out of it to make it shorter?
