I HAVE A 87 GN WITH BASICALLY A STOCK ENGINE SETUP, GREENSTRIPE INJECTORS, 62MM PLENUM AND A CASPER HOTWIRE TO THE FUEL PUMP. WHICH THRASHER 92 CHIP WOULD WORK BEST WITH MY SETUP AND WHAT IF ANY MODIFICATIONS WOULD I NEED? WON'T DRAG RACE, (T-ROOF) JUST WANT A GOOD CHIP WITH ANTI-THEFT FEATURE. TRIED TO E-MAIL THRASHER BUT THEY DON'T REPLY...

Thrasher no longer supports these chips, but some of the members of this site do.http://www.thrasherchips.com/
You have to be able to maintain higher fuel pressure than stock. Thrasher calls for 45# FP (static) at idle and the 45# plus boost at WOT.
ie- running 16# of boost you would want 61# of FP at WOT ( 45# + 16# boost=61#).HTH, Curt.

THANKS CURT, WOULD A BOSCH 237 REGULATOR AND STOCK FUEL PUMP GIVE ME 61#, OR WOULD I HAVE TO GET A NEW FUEL PUMP?

Tom, you want a 92-30-k2.0 chip. It will have all the "infamous" Thrasher features (such as anti-theft) but does not force lock up at WOT and doesnot have a 2-step stutter.

E-mail me at Scott231@Juno.com I reply ;-)

You know, it is confusing that there is a Thrasher.com site and a Thrasherchips.com site (I will assume you contacted the latter which is Russ Salerno who, I believe, is in college). Contacting Russ is not contacting Thrasher, Inc.

You would have to get a new adjustable Fuel Pressure regulator, and a new Hi-Flow fuel pump. Also you need a accurate fuel pressure guage if you don't have one already.HTH, Curt.
