I have these mods on my '87 GN: ATR cast heads with ss valves, bored .030 over with TRW pistons, Ruggles 205-210 cam, rollmaster timing chain, HV oil pump, TE-61 turbo, 009 lucas injectors, Jay carter chip, hooker 2 1/2 in. exhaust, 3000 stall, modified stock intercooler, poston 3" downpipe, RJC power plate, underdrive pulleys, be cool radiator, and few odds and ends. I THINK my pump is rated at 190, not sure. Any recommendations??? I plan on putting on a front mount and ATR DP when i get more cash.
That's a pretty healthy combination ...
You need at least a Walbro 340 ... you might consider a double pumper setup.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'm not sure what the pump that I have is rated at. It's a pump I bought from Bowling Green Customs a few years ago. I wanna say it is a 190, but it is hot wired also. I don't really have any problems with the cars performance. I can only run around 15-16psi on pump gas though. I don't plan on doing any hardcore tuning until I get my downpipe and front mount, no real reason to, I havn't been beat by anything on the street yet....lol.
If you can get a scan tool hooked up, you pretty much verify everything as you make the steps. Definitely cheap insurance and will be an essential part of your tool box for years to come.
Cory, if you're gonna do a new downpipe why not get the Terry Houston. Direct and easy bolt in and from what I've read is far superior to other downpipes.
