Wilburt McMullin (Mac13) | Thursday, February 20, 2003 - 07:14 pm I’m back! I’m sorry that I have not responded to the e-mails and posts that I received. But my car has been in and out of the shop so I didn’t really have chance to try them. Anyway I reset my TPS and IAC. TPS is currently set at .42 idle and 4.72 WOT. Here are the problems the car hesitates between shifts, I get between 5 – 10 degrees knock on 93 octane, and the vacum line is blown off the FPR. I mixed in some 117 octane and the knock decreased to .7. Here is a list of items on the car and the numbers from tlink with the race gas mixture. Rebuilt engine, new valve springs, 2800 stall converter, 3” dp, adj. Fp reg., 2.5 atr exhaust, walbro 307 fp, hot wire kit, rebuilt trans, vdo boost gauge, Thrasher 92 fp set at 45 static, ac43rt spark plugs gapped at .035, and I’m currently running 12 psi boost. 1 2 3 4 Tps: 4.52 4.52 4.24 3.68 Int: 128 128 128 128 O2: 816 46 710 738 Maf: 98 203 220 224 Blm: 128 128 128 128 O2#: 1 3 1 2 Mat: 73 79 82 82 Rpm: 2250 3700 5200 5600 Esc: 2 2 2 2 Egr: 0 0 0 0 Lv8: 154 255 224 203 HELP!!! |

Ken Mosher (Kenmosher) | Wednesday, February 26, 2003 - 07:36 am TPS is still low, the car is shifting pretty high (5600 is wrapping it pretty tight for a stock headed car. the O2 cross count should be steady at ZERO during WOT ... cross counts indicate some sort of lean drop out. |
Wilburt McMullin (Mac13) | Wednesday, February 26, 2003 - 05:18 pm Ken, I've filed the grooves on the TPS. With switch on TPS reads .44 idle - 4.72 WOT. I hooked up fp gauge taped it to the windshield saw fp drop off. I checked the fp reg. tightened the jam nut and fp seemed function correctly. But, I still get KR. The Tlink #'s I posted are from part throttle runs because I can't achieve WOT without getting KR. |
