| | Sunday, February 02, 2003 - 09:10 pm Hello, I'm new to the board. I own a 87 turbo t. long block is stock just rebuiilt. trw forged pistons, arp bolts, and oil system mods. It has a Turbonetics stage 3 cheatha, Turbonetics deltagate,40 pound injectors, stock intercooler, k+n air filter, home grown cold air, and a ultrachip thumbwheel prom. the problem that i am having is at start up the car loads up,and at idle the car loads up.I have swapped coil pack and module, set cam sensor four times, swapped ignition wires, swapped spark plugs(different heats), and played with fuel pressure fromm25psi to 50psi. I am using a snap-on MT2500 scanner to look at all of my values. The coolant temp is in spec. The mass air is in spec(8gps at idle), the TPS is in spec(.42 at idle). The only things that look out of spec is the load is showing62 points st idle(1000 RPM with scanner hooked up), and my base timing is between 36-40degrees at idle(1000 RPM with scanner hooked up). any suggestions are more than welcome. Thank you Eric

| | Monday, February 03, 2003 - 08:51 am Did you try reseting your IAC? Also,..I had the same problem and It turns out my FPR was bad even though it shows 40 lbs thats not what it really is...also your chip MUST match you injectors!!!!

| | Monday, February 03, 2003 - 08:28 pm hey, thanks for the suggestion. I did try resetting my IAC. And I just swapped out the adjustable FPR for the stock, and there was no difference. Also the chip is programed for 38to40lb. injectors. The help is more than appreciated. Eric

| | Tuesday, February 04, 2003 - 08:09 pm What kind of injectors do you have? They must match your chip settings, I had the same prob w/ my T when I first bought it so I called Red Armstrong and told him All about my car and the specs and he made me a chip and it solved just about all my problems. Also remember TPS @ idle no less than .42 and no more than .45 You have to make a perfect balance with the IAC screw adjustment and the TPS. Do your IAC first! If you experience more trouble feel free to E-Mail me at buickgn38sfi@yahoo.com
