Yep, it'll work fine. If you have Windows2000, I'd recommend that (or even Win98) instead.
ME was an OS that didn't know what it wanted to be when it grew up. Part Win98, part Win2000 and mostly unstable.
Win2K is very stable and works well with memory management and TurboLink. Win98 isn't quite as good at managing memory, but TurboLink is perfectly happy with it.
