After doing some reading and thinking(dangerous I know, kids don't try this at home) I'm just curious if it's better to run more boost and less timing or more timing and less boost? I'm thinking of leaving my race chip in and slowly going back to 93 octane since I just don't have the extra cash to put $4/gal 116 in it anymore. I know I'll have to watch things carefully but I'm just wondering if I'll go faster(potentially) than if I put the street 93 chip back in. I'm guessing I should be able to run more boost with the 93 chip due to its low timing but I'll have more timing with the race chip(T2 108+) which of course means less boost. I've read that the stock ic is good to about 20-22psi before it isn't working that good and I've read that a TA49 likes to work in the 20-23psi range so my high boost would be in the 21-22 range, IF I can get that high. I'm open to any and all opinions/comments/suggestions on anything I've said, ie disagree with stock ic efficiency?. Would it make a big difference if I can run the race chip to say 16psi and the street chip to about 20? Then I'm guessing the street chip would be better? I really don't know, that's why I'm asking you guys. Thanks for the input guys.
