I have an 86 G/N that starts hard when the engine is cold( about 15 secs. of cranking!) but starts fine when the engine is warmed up. Is there an adjustment I could make in the chip to solve this?
Besides that all the numbers look good (TLink & Scanmaster).
I have the following upgrades:
High output Fuel Pump Hot wired,Adj. Fuel Reg.,
32# Injectors,Ported Stock Turbo,Ram Air,3.5" MAF with TransPlus,T.H. 3" Downpipe, and 2.5" Dual Exhaust. TIA, Curt.
Before you change any data tables, you should investigate why it takes 15 secs, which is about 5x more than it should be. I did a lot of testing this past winter for the purpose of shortening the crank time. I have the same injectors you do and the longest time was just under 4 secs. By experimenting with the crank fuel tables, I got it down to just under 2 secs.
Make sure your fuel press. is good (I use 45#) and sparkplugs are clean.
Let me know if you want the mods to the crank fuel tables. I actually saw the opposite of what you described. My starts below 50 degF were quicker than the starts above 50. Go figure.
