I just purchased a stock 87 gn. Did the basic mods, exhaust, cold air, fuel pump & hotwire. I was plannig on purchasing the ta-49 turbo with 36# or 009 injectors. I think this is a good setup to a gn with stock conveter. Now I changed my mind and will purchase a ta-60 turbo with msd 50's. Will have a torque converter installed. I find with this setup I won't want to upgrade in the future, from the ta-49 and 36# or 009 injectors if I were to purchase them. My question is that I will need a chip or two programmed for my setup. What type of chip do I need to buy, and what company can I purchase it from? Thanks
I would get everything as a package deal from one of the bigger vendors. Turbo, injectors, chip, converter. I would also contct SMC about an alchy kit. I only run 93 octane, but my alchy kit lets me run up to 25lbs without blowing up.
