Car has had trouble when it first starts up, stumbling a little, hesitating, then ran fine once it switched to closed loop. IAC, all other sensors adjusted fine, narrowed my search down to MAF, and after I tried to remove a screen when putting on a cold air system, the car wouldn't even run. Anyone else have this occurence? Main question, I really don't want to switch over to an LT1, do those NAPA ones work any good, or is there another place to get them? A friend said they are bad news, but he just heard that somewhere. Anyone have any real world experience?

Real world experience... After my MAF died, and after trying 3 NAPA MAFs, I bouth the Translator setup & 3". Later I changed to the T+ (which I should have bought to begin with).

Yeah, it can be a lot of up front $$ if you get "The Full Monte", but the chance of getting stranded with no MAF to be found is severely minimized. Start with just the T+/3", and get the other stuff (E-Chip, harness adapters, extensions wires) later, as funds become available.

I got an original used AC Delco MAF off Ebay for about $40.00. Check Ebay...you can get good deals.
