Would I be able to use a stock chip from an 84 turbo in my 87 GN? I was curious-I'm trying to fix a problem. Thanks.

I guess it's over boosting--bad! Blew the head gaskets after about 5 miles! Car has a lot of mods done to it(bought it like that).The mechanic told me to put a stock chip in it which might help the problem. just want to get it fixed and sell it!!
If "lots of mods" includes larger injectors, putting a stock chip is not a good idea.
It has red stripe injectors on it. Would it starve for fuel and cause more problems?
