I had my motor rebuilt and I am trying to get it running again but I am having idle problems and it smokes like a chimney. I believe it is black or grey. I have done some test like tapping on the maf, replaced the iac and still no change. I do not have a scan tool yet so is there any way of checking this car out for now? My fuel pressure is about 45psi with a thrasher chip and my tps is .43.

What state do you live in? Someone's bound to live close to you and be able to help.

what do your plugs look like? Are they all reading similar? Obviously, you're running rich as sin. Do you still have a stock chip handy to try? Any mods like bigger injectors?

also - plugged CAT, bad FPR, pinched fuel return line, and PCV will cause rich conditions if your motor was just rebuilt *properly*. Check those out too. Gray smoke is back in the motor - valve guides or rings...
