Anyone have any input as to what would cause my 86 GN to surge or pulse. It does it at idle and on the highway when you are holding
a steady speed. I have changed the fuel sock, fuel filter. spark plugs and wires. cam sensor (complete assembly) , coil pack. The
only modification I have made is to the GREEN STRIPE injectors that Kirban sells. Oddly enough the problem seems to lessen
when the fuel tank starts to drop below half full. No error codes are being set.
Could be a bad MAF or a leak in the intake tract. Could also be voltage fluctuations to the fuel pump or injectors.
Do you have any scan tool data.
No I do not have any scan tool data. Currently looking to buy a scan tool. I do not race, just want the GN to respond when I step into it. What scan tool would you recommend?
I will check the intake hose for leakes

Try replacing your wastegate solenoid.
Is it surging, or does it fell like the power is cutting out? Because on mine, there was a stumble, like a loss of power. I found out that I had a loose connection to the fuel pump. Intermittently, when the fuel sloshed against the wire, it lost power to the fuel pump. Since you said you replaced the fuel sock, you may want to retrace your steps
