New posting from a newbie. I am a street rodder/cruiser car guy, old tech! I just pick up an 84 T-type. Low mileage car, under 36K. Purchased from an 82 year old woman! Car was not used for over 2 years, before that was driven to grocery store and beauty parlor only! Very little freeway miles on this car! Could be the biggest problem (non use).
Car has drive problems: surges, stumbles, etc. Eats O2 sensors (3) after 50 or so miles. I plan on changing H2O temp sensor tomorrow. Coil checks out OK, don't know about module. Replaced module with another used module. Same problem. Fuel pump tests OK, cam sensor timing OK.
Can anyone offer assistance, way to test MAF, other ideas?
