I'm tring to figure out if I have the stock chip in my car, I pulled the computer and took a look at the chip. The only marking's I see is the work "DELCO" and a serial number. Does anyone know if this is the stock chip?

Thanks
Ron K.

Those numbers are likely not serial numbers but the identifying numbers needed to answer your question.

ACXA and BBKJ are some of the codes you might find on stock 86/87 chips. With more information, someone may be able to answer your question. Year of the car would be helpful, too.

My chip has the "BBKJ" code on it, so I guess it's safe to say that's the stock chip.

Thanks.

BBKJ is the '91 (or is it '92?) 'recall' chip that was issued to improve emissions. Basically, its the most recent stock chip for these cars.
