Brian Loebick (Bloebick) | Tuesday, September 18, 2001 - 10:00 am I set mine with the key "on" but the engine not running, according the the TPS adjustment procedure. When I make a run at WOT my TPS never gets above 4.2, is this a problem? Any suggestions? Brian |
Steve Wood (Stevewood) | Tuesday, September 18, 2001 - 01:03 pm From some of the comments made by various chip guys, I suspect that it is fine. If it was not going into power enrichment mode, the car would show to be very lean and be suffering from detonation. I don't remember at the moment if the ecm commands PE at 75% or 80% of full scale which is 5 v. Seems as if the hot airs and intercooled cars are different in this respect. TPS is not the only parameter that sets PE, also. Be sure your floor mat is not impeding wot with regard to the tb butterfly. Also check to see that your throttle cable is not stretched so that your butterfly does not begin to move when the pedal is moved slightly. |
Jim Testa (Turbojim) | Friday, September 28, 2001 - 05:21 am Thats right Teve. As long as you're achieving PE and LV8 is hitting 255 you're reading from the 100% load spot in the timing table. Theres nothing more to be had with higher TPS voltage. |
