| | Monday, October 22, 2001 - 07:29 pm I got my 86 GN 3 weeks ago ang am very happy with it, but I think it is under injected BAD. The car has a fresh 30 over 231 with ported heads, big valves, a compcam stock intercooler and a TA-49 turbo. It has a built tranny 2800 converter. It now has a ultra chip in it, and 30lb inj, a bowlingreen in tank pump and boush inline pump. I am trying to get the car in the 10's with the 49. But the car is driven 50-75 miles a week. And if I wan't to drive it to Cal from Az, I wan't to be able to. Any opinions would be great. Also what is this turbo link, what does it do, do I need it and where do I get it and for how much. thx much Jeromy Gamble

| | Monday, October 22, 2001 - 08:16 pm I think you have a challenge before you in trying to get into the 10s with a TA49 turbo. While I'm sure its theoretically possible with enough effort, I'm sure most would agree that its nigh impossible. In working with a friends car that's currently at 11.0 performance, I'm starting to think that 50 lb/hr injectors may be marginal for high-10 second performance. I don't think there's any reason a 10 second ride can't be streetable. And I've heard nothing but good feedback from those using the MaxEffort chip. Information on Turbo Link, which is a PC based scan tool for reading information from your car's ECM, can be found at http://www.turbo-link.com/ and it can be purchased from the manufacturer directly or many of the vendors found at http://www.gnttype.org/vendors/
