I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who stopped by and said 'Hi' in the pits, at the GNTTYPE booth, or at our impromptu dinner at the GS Nationals this year. Its always nice to meet list/board members and put faces with the names. I regret that more of our 'staff' could not attend the event this year. Hopefully you'll get to meet them next time.
Our booth was very successful in offering our collection of GS Nationals videos, logo items from O.G.S., and a few other miscellaneous items. We appreciate the support, and your patronage insures that GNTTYPE will not only continue to be available but grow and offer more services in the future. We certainly hope you enjoy your purchases.
I have to insure that I give kudos to a few people who insured our success in Bowling Green. First, a tip of the hat to longtime member Joe Harrington. We specifically asked to be placed next to Joe in the vendor area, which turned out to be a good idea. Joe was able to offer the use of a combo TV/VCR when our equipment failed halfway through our first day. In addition, we were able to get some time on his generator to power the gear. In addition, big kudos to "Electra Jim" Sickler, who was able to help transport the cases of videos as well as other gear for the GNTTYPE booth to the Nats. Without this help, none of this would be possible. And last but not least, my good friend and one time (charter, no less) listmember Bill Stuart who helped staff the booth throughout the week. Without this group, we would not have succeeded.
I regret that our group dinner did not go more smoothly. It was a last minute arrangement, and there were some misunderstandings at the restaurant that caused us to not be seated as a group. Thanks to Rob Wilson for making this happen. We'll definitely work harder at this in the future.
